Leisure makes the human more human by engaging the heart and broadening the vision, deepening the insight and stretching the soul. –Joan Chittister
It is impossible to tell you how many ideas I have when I am either in the shower, driving, playing a game on my iPhone or lying in bed in the waking hours of the morning. It seems that when I try to force myself to be creative that the busyness of my existence intrudes. When I let go, giving myself the opportunity to do nothing, think of nothing, worry about nothing those are the moments that inspiration can be given a crack of light. I have come to believe that play is not only important for the development of children, but it is essential for the creativity of life.
Today’s Action: Play a game. If you want play with someone else, but something like solitaire might be preferable to free your mind.
Today’s Sharing: We would love to hear what happened to your body when you played a game.
