In the rush and noise of life, as you have intervals, step within yourselves and be still. Wait upon God and feel his [her] presence, this will carry you through your day’s business. –William Penn
There is a saying in 12 step recovery groups, “you can restart your day anytime.” I believe this cliché has saved many an addict from going down the garden path to resentment and anger. restart, recalibrate, reassess, and regain the center we need to exist fully in this moment. This is almost impossible to do without stopping, praying, meditating and then turning. William Penn’s wise advice for moments of Sabbath are not only important spiritually, but essential. Take time, to give yourself time.
Today’s Action: Set three exact times during the day to stop and be still for one minute. If you have an alarm on your phone set it.
Sharing: How did it feel? What happened in your body? What happened in your mind?
