HOLY HERETIC DEVOTIONAL- Aug. 15, 2016-SOLITUDE

Compiled by Reiki Master/Mercy Junction Administrative Assistant Kali Meister

“So true prayer demands that we be more passive than active; it requires more silence than words, more adoration than study, more concentration than rushing about, more faith than reason. We must understand thoroughly that true prayer is a gift from heaven to earth, the Father to his child; the bridegroom to the bride, from him who has to who has not, from Everything to nothing.” — Carlo Carretto

When we think of gifts we often think of the overtly tangible. The material. We think of something we can hold in our hands because we confuse the physical with meaning and honor that mentality.

Prayer is a gift given in solitude. It is personal and intimate. It is energy given with the light of love in its intention. It is someone taking from their personal time and energies and freely giving it with no requirement for anything in return.

It is more than a wish. Prayer is an intention. It is the gift of and request for guidance–the GPS of life. It is as loving a gift that anyone can give. To truly appreciate this gift we must appreciate its source, direction and providers.

We must awaken to the divine in the entire universe. We must pray to be prayed for. The exchange of energies is key to a positive life experience.

Today’s Action: Today, say a prayer, direct your energy, for another person. Give that gift.

Sharing: We’d like to hear about your experience of giving the gift of your prayers to another. Please comment on our Facebook page: https://m.facebook.com/HolyHereticZine
