Compiled by Mercy Junction Justice and Peace Center Pastor Brian Merritt

The atom has only an apparent brilliance. By nature it is only an atom, but if it loses itself in the sun, it will thereby show his quality forever. — Mantiqu Ut-tair

Sometimes we think that we are insignificant specs, but we are told that we are infinitely important to the divine. How can someone who is so small in the nature to the universe, so limited in their time of breaths or so bound to the place we are from be of significance to God? This is not a mystery, but a promise. We are lights that shine in the darkness because we are Jesus’ representatives here on earth. So, shine your light in love and peace with mercy as your guide.

Today’s Action: Light a candle and watch its flame. Take in the smell and gaze intently into it’s brilliance.

Sharing: We would love to hear what you learned from the light of the flame.
