HOLY HERETIC DEVOTIONAL-Nov. 5, 2016-I WAS IN PRISON AND YOU VISITED ME

Compiled by Holy Heretic Connie Foster

“How we walk with the broken speaks louder than how we sit with the Great.” -Bill Bennot

We have specific instruction and ways to show love to those sisters and brothers who are imprisoned. We are told to remember those who are in prison and who are in the body of Christ since, like them, we are a part of His body in Hebrews 13:3. Showing love to them means we visit them, pray for them and help their families while they are imprisoned. We may be the very person who can make a difference. We can be that advocate that encourages those who are in a position of power to make a difference in the lives of those who are in prison. Walking with the broken and encouraging the great to walk with the broken could change our world.

Today’s Action: Write a letter to someone in prison.

Today’s Sharing: Did you write a letter? Share your stories on our Facebook page at facebook.com/holyhereticzine
