Fellowship of Heretics Daily Devotional: November 15, 2016 — I was in Prison and You Visited Me

We know through painful experience that freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor; it must be demanded by the oppressed.  Martin Luther King Jr.

If one is to believe in gradualism and passive progress then the world should be fine without any action on our part to bring about justice and peace. Yet, we know that we are in a constant state of flux between the forces of evil in this world and the demands of the oppressed to rectify the conditions of their oppression. It will be a painful struggle and there will be consequences for those who follow the righteous path. Still, we know that we are not alone and are interconnected with others who walk with us on the path to freedom.

Today’s action: Look up supermoon on your computer and look at all the wonderful images that have been taken in this rare natural event.
