Where there is power, there is resistance. Michel Foucault
Michel Foucault was a French philosopher, historian of ideas, social theorist, philologist and literary critic. His theories explore the relationship between power and knowledge, and how they are used as a form of social control through our societal institutions. Even though he is often associated with the post-modernist and post-structuralism movements he rejected those categorizations.
Foucault was active in a number of anti-racist, anti-human rights abuses campaigns and the struggle for penal reform.
Today’s Action: Think about something that you are ashamed of. Say, “I forgive myself.”
